DBIA Panel | Perspectives on Design-Build: Is it Good or Bad?

The purpose of this discussion is to hear perspectives from O/A/E/C industry leaders about the opportunities and challenges of design-build for buildings and structures.
According to FMI’s analysis, by 2025 design-build is expected to account for as much as 47% of construction spending in the assessed segments ( nonresidential vertical construction, highway/street, transportation, and water/wastewater). Design-Build or a similar version of integrated project delivery is the fastest growing delivery method in our industry, often shifting risk and control from traditional norms. As design-build construction grows, who benefits? Why is it growing? Is design-build the best delivery method for most owners?
