East Link
DESIGN FOR
The HNTB-led joint venture provided final design services and is currently providing design services during construction for the South Bellevue to Overlake Transit Center portion of Sound Transit’s East Link Extension project.
CLIENT: Sound Transit | LOCATION: Seattle, Washington
The project includes approximately seven miles of double-track light-rail guideway, eight stations, the SEM tunnel in downtown Bellevue, and long-span bridge crossings over Interstates 405 and 90. When East Link opens in 2023, passengers will be able to ride almost 40 miles of fast, reliable light rail, from the Eastside to downtown Seattle and Northgate and to Sea-Tac Airport and Angle Lake.
